NEW YORK BRIDAL FASHION WEEK – DESIGNER HIGHLIGHTS – Gisèle & Simone

Laure Lavagnini’s story into Bridal design is truly warm and inspiring. At a very young age, her grandmothers immersed her in their world of high-end garment making. It did not take long for her youthful passion to ignite. Lavagnini was creating her own clothes to dance and perform. Launching a successful clothing business allowed her to create product for retail, theatre and custom clothing. Everything shifted as Lavagnini took a chance and created her first wedding gown. Dedicating the couture bridal business to her grandmothers, she named it Gisele et Simone.

Rightfully inspired by the period of her grandmothers’ youth, 1920’s era is an essential aesthetic throughout the collections. Along with Lavagnini’s modern edge woven into the “Roaring Twenties” influence, she develops a new trend that proves to satisfy her brides. The Gisele et Simone bride is the woman who is “independent”, a “sharp dresser”. Further described as one who “lives as she pleases” and of course “to the fullest”. This resonates in the collection down to the finest detail.

As Gisele et Simone premiered in the heart of midtown New York’s Manhattan Manor, during New York Bridal Fashion week, the bold and avant-garde was evident. The collection showcased effortless styles that contribute to changing the look of traditional bridalwear. Sheer encrusted wrap dresses, sensuous plunging necklines, cropped geometric lace tops, low-rise ball-gown skirts and flirtatious mini dresses all are sure to make an unconventional impression on your wedding day.

Lavagnini has 20 years of experience in fashion design and is making iconic development within the French bridal market.
